ARTIST STATEMENT

Migrants to the US are coming to both escape untenable situations and to find a new life. Often unspeakable violence is the impetus to move and then danger from gangs, coyotes, Border Patrol, and others loom at every turn. I hope for safety and justice and yet cannot turn a blind eye to the perils our fellow humans encounter.
