ARTIST STATEMENT

I have always been a proponent of legal immigration for oppressed. In the past, I have been involved with resettlement of Vietnamese and Bosnian refugees. I have become increasingly alarmed with the treatment of refugees by our administration and in other countries. I went through training to work with refugees here in Portland, but sadly, the number of people coming has diminished because of the zero tolerance policy of the Trump administration. We have more volunteers than immigrants.
