ARTIST STATEMENT

Children being separated from parents and/or trafficked has been the most heartbreaking of all issues for me around immigration. These children need love, nurturing, healthy living situations and a permanent release from the trauma they have experienced ASAP…or they will forever feel despair, unsafe, angry, depressed, and disenfranchised. Through action, our vote, and in this case, art, I hope we can continue to bring attention to this issue and make change as soon as possible for their safety and future prosperity. And let’s hope we make sure as Americans this never happens again.
